Brownie Girl Scouts
Brownies are sure to have a great time on our farm learning all about bugs and water!
Brownies will get to experience up close a real honeybee hive and learn why honeybees are such an important insect for our crops. Girls will look for other bug species as we walk to and from the honeybee hives (wear good walking shoes!) and will also learn what are good bugs and what are bad bugs. Girl Scouts (and leaders too!) will be able to taste honey that our hardworking bees made! Bring along a magnifying glass if you have one, a limited amount will be supplied.
This activity is available May 1-October 31. This tour fulfills the requirements of step 5 of the Bugs Badge.
Wonders of Water Journey
Brownies will learn how rainbows are made and will learn how to make their own using light and water! Girls will enjoy a “watery” fruity snack before they head into the greenhouse to learn all about the water cycle!
This activity is available April 1-May 31. This tour fulfills the requirements of sessions 1 and 2 of the Wonders of Water Journey.
